So last week was just the realization and honest acceptance that fear is real. WE have to be able to see it, accept it, honor it. From there we can create change.
We also have to spend some time seeing where fear is actually stemming from…
Are these fears we learned?
Are these fears from a traumatic experience?
Are these fears from a change in situation?
Let’s take this for example:
You have a fear of riding in the car.
When you ride in the car, you feel really anxious. Maybe sweaty palms. A constant panic. Unsafe. Not in your body.
I think to clear fear, we have to go back to the why. That can take some time to really work through.
Were you in an accident?
Did something happen when you were a kid while you were in the car?
Did your parent have a bad accident?
Usually this fear is rooted in experience. Be gentle with ourselves and take a look at where it is stemming from. We have to get to the root and acknowledge it.
Much like a dandelion, we can’t just pluck the top off and think it’s gone. We must dig the root out, give it thanks and heal that space.
So what happens once you get to the root of the fear?
Stay tuned! Next week we dig a bit deeper and take steps to bust through the fear.
In Gratitude,
Rachel
