In 2020, my mother had a cardiac event that escalated her dementia. I began writing as a way to process my experiences in the moment and share them with my community. Those writings became the early drafts of my book, The Mourning Light: Reflections on Love and Loss.

As someone who has had a daily gratitude practice most of my life and have been speaking and teaching about it for more than 15 years, it was natural that I write a companion gratitude journal workbook, Shift to Light, 90 Days to Grateful. This workbook offers practical tools for cultivating gratitude and embracing personal transformation.
